Hiking and Biking
Renew your spirit, Energize your body, Explore the exhilarating trails of Marquette Country
Marquette Country rated 1 of 5 best places to live and ride by Bike Magazine!
Marquette named one of the top 8 running towns in the Country by Trail Runners Magazine.

Marquette Country has more hiking and biking opportunities than anywhere else in the Upper Peninsula. With thousands of miles of back roads, marked trails, logging roads, cross-country ski tracks, national and state forest trails, and paved biking paths.
Some of the many marked trails for which maps are readily available include the Harlow Lake, Hogsback, and Sugarloaf Mountain trail systems, some of Marquette’s beautiful charms. The Mountain is known for its stunning views of Lake Superior, cliffs, and Marquette city. Presque Isle and the Bog Walk, Vandenboom Nature Trail, and the Elliot Donnelly and McCormick Wilderness are also nearby.
